Anna is a clinical manual therapist and bodyworker specializing in assessment and rehabilitation of chronic pain and injuries. She studied massage at the San Francisco School of Massage and Bodywork and also holds a degree in chemistry.
Anna looks forward to working with patients and their unique goals in support of joyous and pain-free movement. Assessment techniques may include a detailed health history, palpation, range of motion, and stability challenges to find the area of the body that needs work. She frequently incorporates active movement into her therapy sessions, including Muscle Energy Technique (also known as contract-relax or proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) and exercises to promote muscle strength, coordination, and stability. Anna can also provide recommendations for home exercises to maintain the changes achieved during a bodywork session.
Anna is a firm believer in empowering her clients through careful and compassionate listening, education, and increasing body awareness. She enjoys working with patients who don’t feel comfortable going to physical therapy or have gone through a course of physical therapy but feel that it hasn’t helped them enough. She is constantly pursuing continuing education
in various modalities and techniques in order to best serve her clients.
In her free time, Anna enjoys fusion dancing, acro yoga, cycling, hiking, and traveling the world.
