Szu-Ying (Stacy) Chiang, L.Ac. grew up in an environment where Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are widely used and well integrated with modern western medicine. Additionally, she has a lot of personal experience with Chinese medicine healthcare since her youth both receiving treatment from and observing many famous Chinese Medicine doctors in Taiwan.
She got her BS in Biology from National Cheng-Kung University, one of the most prestigious universities in Taiwan, and thereafter came to the States to study Genetics at a graduate level at the University of California, Irvine. She then decided to pursue her life-long interests of Traditional Chinese Medicine and received her Master’s Degree from South Baylo University of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She received annual scholarships for outstanding academic achievements during her school years.
In addition to her regimented studies, she worked in a busy acupuncture clinic/herbal pharmacy, where she received special training in acupuncture, acupressure, tui-na massage, herbology, scalp acupuncture and post-stroke rehab from experienced practitioners. She is also a Mei-ZenTM cosmetic facial acupuncture trained practitioner, using traditional Chinese medicine to promote beauty, health and body balance. Other work experiences such as working closely with herbalists at Sun Ten Laboratories (a major distributor of traditional Chinese herbs), within the Chiropractic community doing soft tissue therapy, and working at a famous integrative medicine office with practitioners from different medical fields allows her to create a unique, personalized treatment plan that addresses the individual needs of her patients.
